We would like you to meet our employee, Will Gibson. Will leads our Energy Solutions efforts and has worked at ES2 for one year and four months.

Are you originally from Oklahoma?

I was raised in Chandler, Oklahoma.

Tell me about any certifications, degrees, or training you have?

I have a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Military Science and Operational Studies from Oklahoma State University.

My Certifications Include:

Certified Energy Auditor In Training (CEA-IT)- Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)

Business Energy Professional (BEP)- Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)

OSHA 30

Are you a member of any organizations?

I am a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).

I hold board positions in both the Association of Energy Engineers-Oklahoma Chapter and the Great Plains Center of Excellence (OSU).

Tell me what your experience working for ES2 has been like?

Working at ES2 was very different for me based on my past roles. This is a very close and personal company, where your colleagues and peers are truly your friends. It doesn’t feel like you are just a cog in the wheel of a big business. Every sale, client, customer, and relationship is deeply personal to everyone at the company. It has been a very rewarding experience so far!

Describe a typical work day for you?

My day usually consists of helping clients, partners, and peers solve problems. At the core of my day-to-day work that is what I am doing. At ES2 I have the freedom to put on whatever hat I need to, whether it be sales, operations, engineering, or project management, to make sure I have the tools I need to help solve the problems at hand.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

I really enjoy the camaraderie of my job. If I am working with a client on an energy audit at their facility, I am getting the opportunity to reverse engineer the problems they are facing and come up with a solution that will ensure peak operational efficiency moving forward. The same can be said when I am working with my peers, and our ES2 partners. Its all about working together as one team to find the best possible outcome given the situation at hand. That builds strong relationships with everyone I talk to and work with. That feeling of partnership and camaraderie is what keeps me happy every day when I come to work.

Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

My wife and I raise Katahdin sheep! So, that consumes most of my time outside of the office. We love ranching, and we have built our operation in a way that makes it fun. We also enjoy working our flock as a family. Raising children on a ranch is an experience that is incredibly rewarding for us.

Are you a sports fan?

Go Pokes!!! (Oklahoma State University)

Tell us about your family?

My wife, Kassidy and I, have been together for 10 years and have been married for 6!

We have one son named Bennett (after my wife) and another son on the way, named Miller! (after my mom). My wife and mother are the strongest, most unwavering people I have ever known. They have both made, and continue to make, a huge impact on my life through their grit, compassion, and strength.
