Are you originally from Oklahoma?
I was born and raised in Tulsa. I went to Jenks Public Schools.
How long have you worked for ES2?
I’ve worked at ES2 since 2013. I originally joined the company as an Account Executive. I then became a Program Manager to manage our behavioral energy conservation program for the State of Oklahoma. Since 2016, I have served as Director of Operations for the Tulsa branch.
Tell me what your experience working with ES2 has been like?
Working at ES2 has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the opportunity to take ownership of large programs and the success of the Tulsa branch office and develop new and better ways of doing our work. ES2 is always innovating and improving, and I love working someplace that values each of us who are passionate about driving change.
What certifications, training, or degrees do you have?
I have a Bachelors in Environmental Studies from American University in Washington, D.C, where I graduated magna cum laude. My industry certifications include Certified Energy Manager and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional from the Association of Energy Engineers, and Building Operator Certification (BOC).
Describe a typical day at work for you?
As Director of Operations, my work is highly varied, but it generally comes down to making sure that our team is working together to achieve our business goals. I meet with the leaders of each department to make sure we are clear on our goals, that we have the resources to achieve those goals, and that we are making progress and can overcome any identified challenges. I also make sure that we are working together across operational departments and with corporate stakeholders productively. Finally, we always have a few strategic projects we are working through to improve our processes and business practices.
Are you a member of any organizations?
I have been a member of ASHRAE since 2013 and I am currently serving as the President of the Northeastern Oklahoma Chapter of ASHRAE. I am also the Immediate Past President of the board of directors of Chamber Music Tulsa.
What is your favorite aspect of your job?
Big picture, I love that at ES2 we are directly providing safer, more comfortable, and more energy efficient buildings for our community. That’s especially rewarding when we get to improve important public facilities like schools and hospitals. On a daily basis, I particularly enjoy solving complex problems to help our customers and internal teams be able to meet their goals.
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy gardening, hiking, doing crafts, cooking and trying new food, and playing with my kids.
Tell us about your family?
