Are you originally from Oklahoma?

I was born in Kellogg, Idaho, and moved to Oklahoma for my father to complete his master's degree at OSU. After that, we moved to Tifton, GA, then to Wichita, KS, and finally back to Stillwater, OK, in 1988. When I graduated high school, I went to OSU for 1 year, then I joined the US Navy and was stationed in Alameda, CA, and later Charleston, SC. In the Navy, I was trained as a Navy Corpsman (Medic/EMT). I returned to OSU in Stillwater after my time in the Navy and graduated in 1999.

Tell me what your experience working with ES2 has been like?

ES2 has been a very enjoyable place to work. It is an atmosphere where you feel like you are part of the team and that your efforts are appreciated. Everyone is professional and easy to get along with. It amazes me the amount of knowledge and skill that is present at ES2 in every department.

What certifications, training, or degrees do you have?

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineer Technology from Oklahoma State University.

Describe a typical day at work for you?

A typical day for me takes place at the office. I spend my time reading plans, reviewing specifications, writing programs and databases, and creating field drawings. I also assist field technicians with troubleshooting and the engineering department with technical solutions.

What was your favorite job you worked on?

It is hard to select any particular job because each job has some element that is my favorite since they are all different. I like the challenges that each job has to offer. Something new always seems to pop up!

Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

I enjoy camping and traveling with my family. I also like woodworking and leatherworking.
